How do I junk my car?

You can junk your car by filling out our simple form or calling our professional staff. We will ask you a few easy questions and give you a price and time for convenient removal. It is a very simple and easy process. 

GETTING PAID FOR YOUR CAR

Will I get paid for my junk car right away?

YES! We will pay you when we pick up your vehicle. Generally we pay cash, but depending on the price, we may issue a check for safety reasons. 

How is the value of my junk car determined? How much will I get paid for my junk car?

We determine the junk car prices based on the year, make model and condition of the vehicle.  Because our partners are experienced recyclers the prices we can pay are not limited only to scrap and metal markets. 

Are there any hidden costs?

There are no hidden costs. The price we quote is the price we pay. 

Do you charge me for towing?

We will not charge you for towing. The price we quote is the price we pay. 

How much is my junk car worth?

... parts are missing?

... my car has a lien on it?

Since we are a local company, depending on the value of the vehicle and the balance owed, we can work with the lien holder and you to buy the car. 

... my car will not pass emissions testing?

Yes! And most importantly, to limit your future liability, we will provide you with the proper documentation for the State of Illinois to prove the vehicle was disposed of properly.  

... I have unpaid parking tickets?

Yes! However, the tickets are still yours to pay. 

PICKING UP YOUR CAR

How long will it take before my junk car is picked up?

We normally remove your vehicle within 24 hours.  However, we are a local company and do not have to contract with others so we are flexible to respond to your needs and your time table. If you have specific needs please let us know when you contact us. 

Who will pick up my car?

One of our trained staff of towing professionals will pick up your car. Our team photo is on the home page of this website.

Where do you pick up cars from?

We are a local, family-owned company serving the greater Chicagoland area. 

TITLES & OWNERSHIP

What about my title?

You will need a title to sell the vehicle in the state of Illinois. Our professional staff will walk you through the transfer process and -- most importantly -- to limit your future liability, we will provide you with the proper documentation for the State of Illinois to prove the vehicle was disposed of properly. 

What if I do not have a title?

The State of Illinois requires you have a title to sell your vehicle.  The registered owner can request a duplicate title from the state. If you are the registered owner you can do this online here: www.cyberdriveillinois.com

What if I have an out of state title?

Not a problem! We will process the title for you. 

What if I have a Salvage title?

Not a problem! Our partners are licensed to properly purchase and dispose of Salvage title vehicles. 

What about my plates?

When the tow driver arrives to pick up your vehicle you should then remove the plates. They are yours and can possibly be transferred to another vehicle. Regardless, the plates are registered to you and the vehicle. Do not allow any unauthorized person to have possession of your plates.

What do you do with the cars?

We are affiliated with a professional recycler, so each vehicle is evaluated based on year, make, model, and condition. We can buy not only junk cars but salvage and used cars also. Some vehicles are scrapped and recycled for metals only. Some vehicles are dismantled for the parts which are sold to keep other cars on the road. Some vehicles are refurbished and sold as inexpensive used cars.
